Go the EvYironment way

When it comes to doing something for the environment, everybody wants to be different. So after distributing free saplings to people last year, this years' Young Indians (Yi), the youth wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) brainstormed on how they can come up with "something different" for the World Environment Day celebrations this year. The result: A website on environment called http://www.enyironment.com/ Now, that doesn't seem too different, but I like a polls on the website. The founders said, they want to gauge public opinion on environmental issues in various cities. Anish Patel, Chair, Yi Vadodara Chapter said “The website will serve as the barometer of public perception on critical environmental issues. We also aim at making the website an interactive portal on trading best practices happening in various localities.” There's no point pumping too much energy on trying to tell people to conserve water, when they really want to conserve energy. Seems ridiculous, doesn't it? But come to think of it, if you actually focus your efforts on trying to conserve energy, you'll do your bit for conserving water or reducing the plastic waste in the city. It's better than trying to do all of it, without doing much at all. Do your bit, step by step and you might just help in making the world a better place to live in.
