Word of the day: Boolean Yup, on the threshold of my 40s, I have finally discovered that algebra has its uses. 😀 After half an hour of wracking my head about why my SQL query was showing an error on ArcGIS, I asked my husband who used to be a software engineer in another life for help. He cannot understand why I want to complicate my life with map-drawing but managed to find a solution to my problem. That's when I came across Boolean. Someone called George Boole from the Ireland of the 19th century thought algebra must have words like "Is", "And", "Or" and "Not". Look it up. 😁

The case of the Chewing Gum Stuck onto a Swing

Things you do as a parent: Find a couple of kids waiting for a swing in the municipal park. The other one's free because there's chewing gum stuck on it. Your son wants THAT swing. You get down on your knees, take out a wet wipe and get scrubbing much to the bewilderment of all the kids and their parents in the park. The swing's sanitized so your child gets it first. The older kids get two lessons:

1. Don't stick chewing gum onto public swings

2. A dirty public swing can be cleaned by ANYONE with a wet cloth or wipe

A 17-minute drive from OP Road to my son's school in Bhayli and I have plotted some of the worst potholed and waterlogged areas in Vadodara.
