I started the day watching this dreadful video that my friend Shreyasi posted on Facebook. The animal lover that she is, Shreyasi was distraught and asked me if anybody from the media would want to take this up.

People have been bombarding Bharti with mails to sack Sandeep Rohilla, their employee, who shot the video. In fact, all the people Sandeep has tagged in the video are employees of Bharti and Alcatel-Lucent and work in their plush offices at Gurgaon, Haryana (as Facebook suggests). They had their 'fun' by killing a helpless donkey. Had it been a tiger, we would have been enraged and moved every muscle to put them in jail. We would have put it on air and played it through all the news bulletins. Why not now?
