I see work as therapy. Many times after violence and riots, when we went to see the victims in the Relief Camps, the first thing the women ask is "Have you brought work?" That impulse to work is a demand for normalcy; it is the poetry of ordinariness, a rythm that guarantees survival and continuity. For a woman, work combines production and reproduction. It is the language of continuity and survival that we call peace.
